Defrosted chicken question

Probably such a stupid question but I tend to be really paranoid about meat and reheating it etc.
I defrosted chicken overnight on thursday to cook last night, but then DH brought home fish and chips so I didn't use it. Can I cook it tonight? It's been in the fridge since yesterday morning. TIA

I wouldn't think twice about it as long as it was frozen as soon as i bought it.

hmm i'm bizarre with chicken in particular too, had a chick in the fridge other day, didnt run out til today, but had to use thursday cause i'm paranoid lol, i'd think twice too?!

Depends how long you had it before you froze it. If it went straight in the freezer from your shopping bags, it'll be fine to eat today (unless it was a mark down purchase because it was coming up to its use by date).
If you froze it because you'd forgotten about it/bought takeaway like the lazy arse I am to stop it going past the use by date (typical in my house!) then it might be a bit dicey. Open it and smell it, your nose knows best!

I also wouldn't think twice about it unless it was green and smelt funny
