Where to buy drinks 4 my baby?

Hi to all mums,
I'd like to ask question where in the UK I can buy some natural drinks for my baby? I tried tesco and asda but there isn't too big choice and most of the juices are quiet artificial. I am looking 4 something like strawberry or raspberry juice without sugar, any ideas where I can buy something like this?
all best,
Eva

can you not just buy regular fruit juice and water it down if necessary?

BALD · 21/01/2011 22:33

how old is your baby, pandora?

topsi · 22/01/2011 08:18

tesco do a range of natural juices with some water added in a carton with a straw. they are not in the children's section though and prob wouldn't be suitable for very young babies.

water or well watered down fresh fruit juice would be cheaper than the 'baby' juices you can buy.

baby have now 1yr old and I want to buy her some new juices but not orange or blackcurrant which r sugar free and the best would be if they r also cold pressed. i'm looking 4 some other flavours any idea where to buy them? or would i've to buy too expensive extractor :(:(

As above, water or very watered down pure fruit juice would be best.

Seona1973 · 22/01/2011 15:23

go to the fridges in the supermarket that sell cartons of pure fruit juice and you will find plenty of flavours. Water them down a bit and then they will be ready for your lo. They will not have added sugar but will have naturally occuring sugars in them which is why it is best to dilute them.

Health visitor told us 'nothing but milk or water until they are two!'

coldtits · 27/01/2011 12:46

just buy some pure apple juice and add it to water, 1:5.

TanteRose · 27/01/2011 12:47

the best thing would be water and a piece of proper fruit.

Babies don't need juice....

Both mine just have water (3.8yo and 14mo) but if I wanted to give them juice I'd buy normal pure apple juice or similar then dilute it a lot as coldtits says.

If you look for sugar-free on the label you are probably buying sweetener-laden.

Fruit juice will have natural sugar in, so dilute it well or stick to milk or water.

Avoid carton of 'juice drinks' even if they are in the fresh juice section. Cranberry juice is usually made up of juice, water and sugar.

storminabuttercup · 27/01/2011 21:46

i've seen cow and gate juices etc that are suitable from 4 months so assume they are pretty natural, my LO is only 5 months but wouldnt give juice for a while yet, maybe they are worth investigation if you want to give baby juice.

personally would give pure juice watered down if needs be

Meglet · 27/01/2011 21:48

water or diluted freshl juice.

Mine have diluted orange juice or smoothies with breakfast, water for the rest of the day.
