how much salt & fat

DS is 9 months and loving his solids. I'm just not sure how much fat or salt to include in his food. At the moment I'm kindof avoiding it as a knee erk health reaction. While he is on formula its ok. But what happens when he drops his milk intake. Fat is needed for brain development and slat is needed for hydration as well as muscle and heart function. I'm making most of his food myself and rarely give him bread. He has mostly veg with pasta or potato in tomatoes, lentils some fish and the odd bit of meat. I know he's not quite ready for haggis neeps and tatties just yet but how much cheese/butter etc. does he need? Why do I know if he's crying out for an olive?

my 2 loved haggis, neeps and tatties at that age!! (dont any more though!). Up to 1 year a maximum of 1g of salt is recommended. I just didnt add salt when cooking and limited salty foods. I dont bother much about fats and dont really limit cheese, butter, full fat yoghurts, etc
