Had pot roast last night (yum!), and as is my wont I've used the veggies from under it as a soup base today. Normally I bung in some lentils and pearl barley and boil it up until thick.
The other day I discovered a 'soup mix' in the shop, so I thought I'd give it a go. Bunged some in with the veg and a load of water. Just read the pack and it says 'Soak overnight first' 
It's been boiling for a couple of hours, will it be safe to eat?
Mix has red lentils, yellow split peas, pearl barley, marrowfat peas and aduki beans btw.
