Ds won't eat any meat/poultry?

Just after abit of advice if thats okay?

My ds 3.11 has always been fussy about meat and poultry, he'll eat plenty of veg some fruit (bananas, melon, apples, grapes sometimes)potatoes, pasta and fish and tuna on sandwiches etc.

I always thought that although he rarely eats meat he would be getting the nutrients from elsewhere, am I right or should I try and add something else?

I should add that I constantly try to give him some meat on his plate just to see if he will eat it as I know what children can be like.

And also I think its the texture of meat he doesnt like as if I puree the mince in spag bol for example he will eat it, should I just keep trying to do this?

Anyone else have the same problems or any recipe ideas to hide meat in ?

You can make variations of spag bol with sausagemeat or chicken mince, just for variety.

Will he eat sausages/chippolatas? If so, sounds like it could be a texture thing.

What about leaving off serving the things he doesn't like for a bit and see if he forgets. Stick with what he likes for a month or so?

He hates sausages so I suppose it can't be a texture thing, Ive actually just tried his fave jacket potato and cheese with 2 chicken dippers and salad and I cut them up and added it to the potato and hes eaten near enough both of them.

I was telling him that its chicken at the same time and I was asking if its nice, and he ate it. So I guess just sitting next to him slowly helping him will help with the fussyness.

Intresting about spag bol with chicken mince I'll try that tomorrow as it would be different, thanks :)
