my 12mth old will only eat finger foods, wont let anything go near him if its on a spoon or fork. i dont live near shops and dont drive so its difficult for me to always have fresh foods so unfortunatly most of what he eats are things like -
potato waffles
fish fingers
chicken nuggets
fruit (when ive got it)
its just not very healthy, and im worried about what effect it'll have on him.

please help!

Stillsmiling you are not the only one my DD has refused everything apart from cereal and yogurt from a spoon from about 9 months too, trying to find new finger foods is a nightmare. Yes I do resort to fish fingers some nights as well but with homemade potato wedges and frozen veg. Frozen veg is a godsend she loves it get a mixed pack peas, carrots, sweetcorn, green beans, broccoli etc

My DD will also eat mashed potato and cheese which you can add carrot, turnip or cabbage too, I roll it into little balls and she's happy to eat it like that.

I also give her a fork to play with most night too and she's slowing getting the hang of it. Good luck with the twins, I'm 26 weeks pregnant with no2 and thought I was mad!!
