Hugh's fish fight

Did anyone else see this last night.

The fishermen were dumping tonnes of dead cod back in the sea because they had already met their quota. How is this helping to maintain fish stocks?

It was so sad seeing the fishermen trying to make a living, yet having to thow away thousands of pounds of already dead fish.

French I saw this and just posted in AIBU as usually more likely to be seen.

Completely and utterly bonkers! I knew about the quotas but not how it really worked and so much good fish just gets wasted.
