Has anyone a recipie? Cant get out 2 shop at the minute to get more eggs

Use 2oz of butter, sugar and flour. The usual ratio is one egg to every 2oz of all the other ingredients. You should be able to make about 8 or 9 cakes with a one egg mix.

yep, just halve the other ingredients. Alternatively I have made it with 1 egg and added some milk to the usual 4oz butter sugar etc.

You could still do a 4oz mixture with one egg - eggs vary in size anyway. Just add enough water or milk to make soft, dropping consistency.
The average family won't notice!

Probably too late but if you only have 1 egg you could make muffins instead.

Use the weight of the egg for the other ingredients.
