2 pheasants, what to do with them

Has anyone got any suggestions on what i can do with 2 pheasants? I was hoping on some sort of slow cooker recipe if possible.

Pot Roast. Seal in a frying pan or in the bottom of a cast iron casserole, then add onions, parsnip, carrots, celery, bouquet-garni and some chicken stock. Cook on a lowish heat for a two or three hours. Add a glass of red wine about 30 minutes before the end and just before serving, thicken the juices with a little cornflour. This should produce a tender bird that is not dry. Serve with fried croutons and other seasonal veg like kale or sprouts (nice done with bacon and walnuts).

ooo, that sounds delish!! I shall give it a go, thanks for the response. Its a good excuse to buy a bottle and drink the remaining 3 glasses too :)

Put them in a sealed bag and throw in the bin!

There's a bit of a tradition round these parts to do them in cider, apple and cream (add cream at the end) - but just depends on which you'd prefer to drink the rest of the bottle of I suppose

Oh I had 2 pheasants I roasted one and then did the other in lemon,white wine & garlic it was delish, nicer than the plain roasted one

IFANN, you must have very small wine bottles round your parts, or very large glasses!

Also, you should be able to get two pheasants in one decent sized casserole.
