How do I stick fondant icing to fondant icing

Do I need to make up some kind of edible glue up?

nah..just lick it! :o

some sort of moisture...just a brush dampened with boiled water, if you prefer to not use the lick option.

LOL licking is tempting but disgusting in equal measures. Will water be 'glue' enough to hold stuff to the sides of a fondant iced cake?

I just use a bit of spit.

If the water doesn't work you could use a cocktail stick or a small piece of spaghetti to keep the iced decoration in place.
