Snacky Suggestions (not for child)

I'm looking for a few suggestions for snacky items. I've been told to loose a few lb's by my Dr.

My problem is that I've got a tendency to snack at my desk - nuts, crisps, biscuits, bombay mix, etc.

I'm looking for some ideas for non-messy (sticky keyboard, ugh) but fairly healthy things that are easy to prepare and I can snack on and will survive in an office environment (~24 deg C).

(ok, yes one solution would be not to snack)

Right now I've stolen some of DS's blueberries (he won't miss them, he still has kiwis, grapes and strawberries).

I always take a tuppaware tub full of mixed fruit and a handful of mixed nuts/seeds in one of the smallest tubs. I never get through it all, although my colleagues very kindly help me most days Hmm but it's always open and on my desk for when I want to pick at something. If you absolutely must have biscuits, then get the weight watchers ones - I'm on that diet and those are my little treat as they don't make you feel like you've just eaten a biscuit made from 98% air.

Bananas are really nice and filling when you're hungry, that may help you control unhealthy snacking.

definitely drink more. keep a bottle of water by your desk and when you fancy a snack have a drink instead. then if you still feel hungry have a small snack as well

get some small tupperware type pots and take in fresh fruit like grapes, blueberries, raspberries, apple slices.
if it's stuff that will make your fingers sticky just take a small fork in with you

oatcakes

nuts

Ryvita are good too for a quick snack if you spread them with extra light Philly, take a while to chew eat so make you feel like you've had a snack.

I get one of the boxes from graze.com

Not the cheapest way to snack at your desk, but I like the portion-controlled element of it, and sometimes it makes me stop before I buy something else, on the basis that I've already paid for this by DD.

(as in direct debit, not by exchanging my daughter, you understand Grin)

Home made cookies using fruit instead of sugar?
