we've got an Aladdin bentoboxes which keep things warm, not hot. However they are microwaveable if he has one at work.

We use a none breakable food flask,

its chrome & made by Stanley,

so far does a great job too, we give her broths & stews, & its fine with bigger food stuff such as fish potatoes & veg etc too, even given her hot sandwich fillings, which she then adds to a roll

it has a wide opening, & bowl lid, & keeps food good & warm until lunch, not too hot, so very practical all round
