left over roast beef -uses?

i destroyed a roast yesterday.. sliced it and returned to oven to keep warm and it turned to leather..no one could chew it!

is there anything i can do with it? got about a kilo

I made a pilaff over Christmas using leftover cold beef. It is a Nigella Lawson recipe from her new book Kitchen. I'm in work so haven't got it on me, but I'm sure you could google it.

Faling that, anything where you simmer it for ages in a liquid should soften it up enough to be palatable, such as a curry?

Stir fry some? Chop up a load of random veg and the beef, stir fry with some soy sauce, Ginger and sesame oil. Really easy - I stir fry when the cupboard is bare!

Scottish stovies. Recipes vary but I do something like this I know that this particular recipe says lamb but I do beef.
