I made a huge stockpot of Bolognese as we were expecting guests for dinner but they had to cancel and I now have 3/4 left...can I put it in a container and freeze it? If so for how long will it be ok?

yes and 6 months or so

Thank you and I doubt it'll be in there that long as DP would eat it for every meal if he had the chance Grin

My freezer is a time capsule - everything in there is good forever.

MumGoneCrazy · 02/01/2011 20:27

Is it safer to let it cool right down before freezing?

we portion ours out into freezer bags so we do have to let it cool down.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 02/01/2011 20:39

Yes, leave it to cool before you put it in the freezer, or it'll melt anything next to it.

Oh yeh didn't think of that Blush

And I rather embarrassingly don't have anything to blame it on eg not drunk, not a blonde moment, not a senior moment and not pregnant Grin
