I have just cooked mine, you need to take it out of packaging, rinse it and leave it for ten minutes then cook it at gas mark 5 for 3 hours 10, to 3 hours 40.Cover it with foil first and remove foil for the last 20 minutes

Cook it in cherry coke!

Put in large pot with enough water to cover. Thrown in one quartered onion and a couple of bay leaves. Bring to boil then simmer for about an hour I think for that weight.

Then peel off outer toughish fat layer. Score fat below. Make up a glaze: honey, mustard, maple syrup, redcurrant sauce, cranberry sauce - anything sweet and mustardy mixed together, then rubbed/drizzled over ham. STick cloves in if you fancy

Roast in over for about 30-30 mins.

Leave to rest for minimum 30 mins before carving and serving. Yum.

Yes, or do Nigellas full-fat-coke recipe - boil about 1 hr per Kg with a peeled onion cut in half, in 2 litres of coke, skin side down.

Then slice off top layer of fat / skin, leaving a thin layer of fat and score making diamond shapes, put a clove in middle of each diamond and smother in a mix of 2 tsp dried english mustard, 1 tbs treacle and 2 tbs demarara sugar. Roast 10 mins in top-temp pre-heated oven.

Yum!

I had exactly one of these last week, I did it in the slow cooker with a bottle of ginger ale overnight on low, then glazed it with ginger preserve and English mustard and studded it with cloves - it was absolutely delicious.

This is awesome. It's the only way that I cook a gammon joint now.
