I'm going to do this recipe today with a boneless leg of lamb (800g):-

Can anyone tell me how long to cook it for?!

No idea but am off to BBC Good food to check!! Your link didn't work (smile) I have a similar piece of lamb in the freezer and got a new slow cooker for Christmas so am dying to try it out!

oxocube · 01/01/2011 10:58

Is it this recipe?

oxocube · 01/01/2011 10:58

Hi Oxo

Your link did work. Yes, that is the one I'm referring to!

Even though the lamb joint you have is smaller than the one in the recipe, I would still cook it for around the same time on a very low heat. Sounds yummy!

Thanks Oxo

Think I'll pull it out at 3hrs and give it a prod. Will let you know if it's a success.

Thanks :)

Just marking my place as I'm really interested to see how you get on. The recipe looks fab and I want to use my slow cooker more this year. Hope it goes well!!

Actually, I misread the thread title - this is not for slow cooked lamb in the slow cooker although such recipes do exist! This one is for the oven but sounds delicious!

SuchStuff · 01/01/2011 14:17

Oh bugger - do you think you could do it in the slow cooker? I think I would try this recipe regardless - it just sounds so easy and tasty!!

MaryMungo · 01/01/2011 14:28

You can do it in the slow cooker, but it will be a lower temperature than the oven and require at least six hours of cooking.

SuchStuff · 01/01/2011 14:41

Thanks, Mary - will prob give that a try!!

Speckledeggy · 01/01/2011 21:56

T'was fab at 3 hours - a great success!

Will buy the right size next time...
