ORGANIC chicken goujans

does any one now any where (pref major supermarket!) that sells ORGANIC chicken goujans?

i really want to give them to my charges but due to animal welfare reasons, we refuse to give them any poultry that is NOT organic?

Or does anyone have a quick and easy recipie to make them myself?

really easy to make (especially if you use the Dinner lady cook book!)

just get some breadcrumbs, mix in a touch of garlic powder and paprika... cut chicken to shape, egg and breadcrumb it and cook for 20 mins in hot oven.. we make them all the time!!

Both Tesco and Waitrose do organic chicken nuggets, if you can't be bothered to make goujons!

katymac · 01/10/2005 14:54

We make chunck (maybe two bites) rather than goujons. I felt the goujons went a bit crispey

But we add herbs and garlic to the bread crumbs - lovely

Thanks fauve... not into chicken nuggets cause its basically reformed organic chicken rather than battery chicken

all the 'crap' left over from the organic pieces, rather than nice crumbed whole breast pieces that havnt been mushed around so much!

and i have the dinner lady cook book but hadnt noticed them so will look again!

Thanks all!

I assume so far no one knows any where that SELLS organic goujans?

p131 (in my copy)

I don't use toasted breadcrumbs tho' and I'm a bit more hands on with the egg and breadcumbs

If you haven't got breadcrumbs, use squished cornflakes.

NannyL, I've finally met my match in organic perfectionism. Respect!

lol Fauve!

have to say i wouldnt eat a chicken nugget (and given that i eat with my charges) wouldnt expect anyone else to either!

Food is much nice when its not been so heavily processed IMO!
(and the 1 time i MADE chicken nuggets my 3 year old didnt like them very much, she prefers 'proper' meat in a meaty form!, amazing one of the only things she has EVER not liked!)

will get out my dinner lady book, and get some organic chicken breasts this week!
