My dd found this receipe and insisted on trying it....we had such fun making and eating it that I thought I should share it with you.....

4-5 cups of fresh (clean snow), 1 cup icy cold full fat milk, 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, 1/2 cup caster sugar

Dissolve the sugar in the milk and vanilla, add the snow until it is as thick as real icecream. Either eat straight away or freeze until you want to eat it.

We added lots of chocolate sprinkles etc and it was surprisingly yummy!

Sounds interesting, I'm tempted!

I might try it when we get a garden of clean snow again.

Do you let the mix cool before adding the snow?

Patchybob · 19/12/2010 19:48

You don't heat it mummy2bookie, it sort of disolves itself? Stir until the sugar disolves and then add the snow. It isn't ben and jerrys standard!, but lovely for the kids and makes a change from making snowmen Xmas Smile

Sounds yum. I'll let my niece enjoy making it. I'll stick to my cherry Garcia Xmas Grin
