Somebody (very kindly) gave me a "lump" of mutton. I haven't a clue what to do with it. I even looked in my good housekeeping book and mutton doesn't seem to exist!

Any suggestions welcome

I would've thought you can substitute mutton for stewing steak in any casserole recipe ... ?

Do a google search for Mongolian cookery?

Yuk! Feed it to a dog.

Long slow roast, till it is practically falling apart. Baste it regularly.

Yummy.

Dress it as lamb...?

Thanks, I am going for the long slow roast (least effort!), but the other recipes will also come in handy - I have 2 more bits of mutton in the freezer
