Alternative Xmas pud?

Neither DH and I like Xmas pud, much too heavy after a big turkey and trimmings, but can't decide what to have instead. DD (5) will be eating with us so don't want anything too mega-rich. First time we will be eating our Xmas meal at lunch time (has been adult only evening affair before), so it would be nice to do something special DD would enjoy.

What about Panettone pudding?
I'm making it on Boxing Day. Thought it looked nice and Christmassy without being too heavy.

Hi milk,

I have made this for xmas day this year as not too many people coming like xmas pud

cherry and pecan pud

it's not very sweet though - so needs ice cream or toffee sauce if you're so inclined (as I am...) :)

Raspberry jelly? recipe here

I like it because it's so fresh and light - very child friendly - leaves lots of room for the cheeses, chocs and pudding wine

Think the Panettone pud wins the contest - thanks BornToFolk!
