Question (possibly v daft) for Magimix owners

I've just got a shiny new Magimix Grin

Do I really need the bottom bowl when using the midi one for chopping? That's the only way it seemed to fit, but I've ended up washing both bowls. Do I just need more practice?!

And while I've got you, do I really need to wash by hand? The dishwasher instructions (short cycle, no dry, liquid not powder) seem a bit OTT.

Thanks

[First attempt currently cooking - fish chowder that's more like baby puree! I'm sure it'll taste OK]

For using the little bowls on mine, yes you need the big bowl underneath, and you can't put much in the little ones as too much and it spews into the big one. I rarely use the little ones.

But my mum washed hers in the normal dishwasher with tablets for over 20 years and it's still just fine. Cut herself a few times on the blade, though...

thanks both.

DD has just made salmon fishcakes and I just can't face hand washing all the stuff.
