Has anyone done this? My only attempt turned into a complete disaster.

I have suet, flour and about 6 hours.

Any suggestions to timing etc would be greatly appreciated. Xmas Smile

try putting them into stew or whatever it is, towards the end of cooking? Last ?40 mins I tried a mix once and just followed the packet directions for timing, but can't remember the time I used, they came out ok.

I tend to do the cooking then, once home, put the cooker up to high heat and then add the dumplings for 20 mins.

Not too much waiting about and there is not a great deal of additional prep work: you can mix the dumplings while the slow cooker is working its way up to a decent bubbling Xmas Smile

Sorry should have said the main dish's cooking

So about 20 minutes on a high heat. In the oven? Or in the Slowcooker?

I think I shoved them in for about half an hour last time and they were like scones. Xmas Grin But that was with the slowcooker on Low.
