I have half a tin after making biscuits, I am trying to resist shoving a finger in each time I pass the fridge.... any suggestions? Have seen a choc sauce recipe which requires 2 tbsp of the stuff and is tempting me at the moment, any other better ideas??

I'd be tempted just to spread it on bread and eat the lot!

Caramel - is it possible without boiling the tin? Please tell, Lady V - caramel is one of my biggest vices...

Coconut ice!

You can do the caramel in the microwave. Just chuck it in a bowl and let it boil. Just keep watch so it doesn't burn.

Large blackcurrant lolly in one hand and the tin in the other. Failing that, a spoon.

Seriously you could make caramel shortbread in a 7x7 tin

Shortbread
120g flour
40g sugar
80g butter

Caramel
60g butter
60g sugar
2tbsp golden syrup
1/2 tin of condensed milk

Cook to soft ball stage and pour over shortbread in tin. Cover with melted choc, about 100g.

I am now dribbling in anticipation...

caramel you melt butter into the condensed milk then stir in golden syrup and stir it NONSTOP on a low heat for about 20 mins. If you stop stirring it burns.

I have heard (somewhere on here), that if you leave a spoon in the tin, and stick it in the fridge just like that for a week, you end up with a heavenly lolly of toffee-deliciousness!

Never tried it though. DH would combust.
