Would you drink Marsala wine opened three years ago?

Bought some in Sicily. Still half a bottle left.It's been in the fridge since and recently have moved it into larder. 18%. I think it should be ok. Smells fine.

It's the only alcohol in the house and I'm quite desperate for a glass when the kids'll go to bed!

It can oxidise and go quite nasty, think bitter cough medecine. I'd pour a very small amount out and taste it first, before chancing a large glass and swigging it back in one.

Ok, will try. I thought in principle fortified wines last for a long time, but maybe it's months not years.
