I have just found a jar of unlabelled white flour at the back of the cupboard and haven't a clue what it is. Blush

Does anyone know how I could tell? Alternatively does anyone know any recipes where it doesn't really matter?

Or should I just chuck it?

Hmmm, I suppose you could make a cake and just add a bit of raising agent, raising agent will make plain flour rise and I son't think it wuld make much difference to self raising.

Think you're right, only way is trial and error! Think I may make bread though as it's less of a waste of other ingredients if it all goes wrong.
