Making scones 48 hours in advance...

I'm making scones today, which will be eaten on Saturday. Delia says that scones are best eaten slightly warm and do not keep well, so to consider freezing. Should I freeze (and how long will they take to defrost?), or just wrap them well in cling film? I need to impress!

I wouldn't make them today, they'll be rubbish by Saturday.

Could you just weigh out all your ingredients into some tuppaware to save yourself some time on the day.

I agree they're best eaten within 10 mins of oven exit!

You could make them, freeze them then warm them up in the oven - but imo scones are so quick that they are better made fresh.

Scones from making to getting out of the oven take all of 25 mins. Make them on the day.

You can feeze them raw and then cook them from frozen. Works brilliantly IMO.

They don't take me 25 minutes - I am rubbish! Bree Van de Kamp I ain't.

I have frozen them raw and will stick them in the oven on the day itself.

Thank you for the tips.
