I defrosted some stewing beef on Thursday and it's been in the fridge since. Can I cook it tonight?

As long as it doesn't smell too bad it should be ok - actually the freezing and fridge for a couple of days may actually tenderize it

as in saturday.... i would say so... (and as long as it looked / smelt fine i wouldnt think twice!)

often when i defrost stuff in the freezer its still half frozen the next day anyway!
