Im about to write my plan and a bit stuck for inspiration!

What are you making this week?

frannyf · 24/09/2005 08:49

Not very exciting:

-macaroni cheese
-Bolognaise sauce with quorn mince (will use it in a shepherds pie as well)
-tofu and vegetable kebabs (mushroom, pepper etc.) with rice
-leek and courgette risotto made with barley
-butternut squash soup

Feel smug because I have made and frozen 2/3 of that in previous weeks, and only have to do the veg kebabs and macaroni cheese this weekend. I am a very lazy cook.

Prawn Curry
Lasagne
Pork chops
Roast Lamb
Toad in the Hole
Chicken drumsticks
Baked cod

Haven't completely "planned" it per se, but when I was in Morrisons yesterday I did buy all the 'core' ingredients (ie meats and some dried beans) from which I shall build a menu.

Last night was Corned Beef Hash,
Then we're probably having

Pork Chops, Roast Potatoes, Veg (whatever's cheap on the market when I go in this morning) and Gravy
Turkey Stir Fry (again using whatever is cheap)
Meatballs and Spaghetti
Fish and Chips (I did a "rare" one and bought some ready battered haddock)
Then either pizza, with ham, onions, mushrooms etc, or, a macaroni cheese type thing, with ham mushrooms and onions.

going to attempt the following:

tomato and red pepper soup
pasta with braised courgettes+garlic, parmesan
jacket potatoes with salad & tinned tuna
sliced potato, onion + bacon bake + green salad

have recently rediscovered risotto, which is always nice for a change and cheap albeit a bit stodgy
