Blini recipe required urgently

We have a large tin of Caviar purchased on weekend trip to Moscow that really needs to be eaten, but can't find a blini recipe in my books and have just found Delia's on the net, but it's fiendishly complicated.
Anyone got one up their sleeve?

I've seen a blini recipe, and I agree, they look like FAR too much work.
Do you have a local Sainsburys? I know that they sell mini blinis ready made, and they taste good. I seem to remember that they hang out near the smoked salmon!

If you can't find a blini recipe, either get the sainsbury one's or make Scotch Pancakes/ Dropscones, without the sugar.

I make them a lot - from Nigella's "How To Eat". I find them very easy although you need to allow a couple of hours in a warm place for the yeast to work and you also need to get hold of buckwheat flour (Saisbury's sell it). They are absolutely scrumptious and well worth the effort. I serve them the Russian way with bowls of chopped red onion, chopped egg white, chopped yolk, lashings of sour cream, smoked salmon and caviar if you're lucky.

(BTW this is Bells again - yet another password change due to repeated authentication errors...)

I had a look in Nigella's book and the first thing it says is "get yourself a blini pan". Well haven't got time for that, as I'm due to serve up tomorrow, so am going with Delia. Just got back from supermarket no buckwheat flour!!! Delia seems to think I can use wholewheat as a poor second. Am beginning to think i might just leave the ingredients out on the counter and suggest the other half comes home early and has a go. He likes a challenge.
Thanks for all your suggestions, if i can get to Sainsbury's I'll buy some ready made ones as back up.

I don't use blini pans Robbie - just egg poacher rings in a large fry pan.

Cheers SueW - had assumed it was just my technical incompetence!
