We are having roast beef for lunch. Doesn't happen very often Wink.

All the timings I have in recipe books are for joints on the bone and this one is off the bone. Does it make a difference?

It's 1.2kg and I would like it medium (with maybe a medium rare bit in the middle for me)

Probably a bit late now but 1kg beef never more than 1hr. The trouble with beef is that it still cooks while resting. You need to keep the moisture in as much as possible so you need that touch of pink. Rest for half hr. In some cases one hour may be quarter hr too long and I have noticed that a nice joint as gone too meduim after resting.

Bacon, who knew you'd be such an expert on beef Grin.

I did indeed cook for an hour. I thought it might be a bit underdone. However it rested for half an hour and was perfect!

Well worth the second mortgage!
