Does anyone have a fool-proof recipe for sweets or fudge that an idiot could make, that would be ok for cheap Christmas presents?
Please?

Toffee - makes 7"x7" tin

150g castor or granulated sugar
1 tin of condensed milk
2 large tbsp (think serving spoon, not cereal spoons) golden syrup
70g butter
Few drops vanilla essence if required

Butter tin

Put ramekin of cold water in fridge

Put all ingredients except condensed in large pan and heat gently stirring constantly until all the sugar has dissolved. Add the condensed milk.

Boil stirring until a little dropped into cold water (the ramekin in the fridge) forms a hardish chewy lump. Add the vanilla if using. Pour into the prepared tin and mark into squares. If you can bear to, cut into squares and wrap in either cellophane or greaseproof. Can be eaten out of tin if required.

The sugar in the mixture will have caramelised and the toffee will be milk chocolate coloured. If you get a few burnt bits, just stir like mad to break them up, so that they're not obvious.

White chocolate and cranberry fudge Very very easy. Makes masses if you use the quantities in the recipe. Freezes well so you can make it now.

Blimey, you all replied when I wasn't looking!

Thank you.

I shall have to try them all first because I'm greedy just to see how easy they are.
