would you cook spinach before putting it into quiche?

can only find recipes using frozen stuff and ive already bought fresh now. my kids have been asking for popeye pie all week! neither of them likes veg, especially anything green so teatime should be interesting

otherwise it is tooooo bulky and you can get more spinach in your pie if you cook it lightly beforehand.
