Please Recommend A Good Food Colouring

Hi all. Can someone please recommend a good quality food colouring. I recently made some halloween cupcakes and decided that the butter cream (home made) should be orange and I was going to do it orange flavoured too. Well I had to add sooooo much colouring just to get it a pale peachy colour. I use silver spoon food colourings. I stopped at the pale peachy colour as i didn't want to make the butter cream unedible. I did add orange essence and that was lovely, it just would have been nicer if the cupcakes had more of an orange WOW sort of colour.

I've only ever coloured pink and yellow before and have never wanted or needed that sort of WOW factor!

I don't know about a brand, but you can get a much more intense colour if you use a paste, rather than a liquid.

We used to have a specialist cake decorating shop near us that sold them, but now that that is closed, I suppose online is the only place. Like here.

I use Sugarflair pastes - you can't get a ewally intense colours with liquids. You can buy them online, or from specialist cake decorating shops. The shop I use does mail order - I could send you the details if you like.
