I've never bought this before and seems like a lovely peice of meat.

I have bought lots of it £20.00 worth. I have no idea why but it seemed like a good idea yesterday

It seems a waste to put it in a casserole I might have well have bought stewing lamb (or am I being thick and in actual fact it IS stewing lamb Confused )

What can I do with it and what recipes can you share please?

Jamie Oliver does a lovely lamb curry using neck.

I think it's one of those cuts that does have to be cooked slowly for a long time for it to be at its best though.

Quite a few options HERE.

I bought neck fillet for the first time last week and I made a lamb & rosemary hotpot and the kids nearly licked the plates clean!!

I shall search for the recipe Smile

RoseMortmain is correct. The neck muscles do a lot of work (if they didn't, the lamb would never lift its head) so it needs cooking for a long time.

It's lovely with tinned tomatoes, thyme, carrots and potatoes in the slow cooker (add the potatoes once par-boiled otherwise they wont' do through properly because of the tomatoes), makes a gorgeous thick gravy!
