I have bought the stuff to make marinated spiced lamb for my dinner and just now I discover I was meant to marinate it for 3 hours. I can't wait that long to eat!!

Chuch it in the marinade, and don't put it in the fridge.
It don't do any harm not to marinate it for 3hrs, it just might not be quite as tasty.

I am making the marinade now. Just means I will eat alone at 7.20 whereas dh and ds will eat together in half an hour. If I start looking hungrily at the cat I will cook it sooner .

Don't marinate the cat. They're a bugger to skin.

I would have done but I have a chicken for tomorrows roast and it is use by tomorrow. I will wait and try not to cry when I see the boys having sausage and chips (and will focus on the 6lbs I have lost in a week).
