Freezing Brownies?

Has anyone ever frozen homemade brownies and if so how long for and were they as good as new when defrosted?

I first thought why would you ned to freeze them and then realised DW quite often splits a batch and puts some into freezer to stop them all disappearing so quickly - yes they are fine and they don't freeze hard IYKWIM so you can eat them quite soon after getting out of the freezer. Of course fresh is better.
