Mincemeat expiry date

I have a jar of mincemeat from last year which realise expired end of Oct this year. Do you reckon will be OK to use to make mice pies in Dec? Live abroad and it costs a stupid amount here so am loathe to get a new lot if dont need to.

Should be fine-smell it and taste it and if both are OK you can use it.

If its unopened and contains alcohol it will be absolutely fine. In fact, it will probably be even better, it improves with the keeping.

is unopened but dont think has alcohol in. Is Robertsons?? OK right I will have a sniff when I open it and unless it smells rank then am using it.Thanks for replies
