Fibre-free foods

I have to follow a fibre free diet for a few days prior to having a procedure at hospital.
What foods are fibre free?
They've given me a diet sheet but ti's just basic suggestions like chicken, white fish, rice crispies, clear soup.

Anything else anyone can add?

TIA

egg
ice cream
can't you have white bread?

GeraldGiraffe · 18/09/2005 20:36

I think all animal products are fibre free

sorry, think I should have said 'low-fibre'.

instant mashed potato

they gave me a list of 'no-nos' which included all fruit, all veg, brown rice, brown pasta etc. Cant remember what they said about white bread. only have wholemeal here so cant check on the packaging but might that be okay do you think?

choc is fibre free. Goodness, you're going to be constipated ?!

mckenzie · 18/09/2005 21:21

not quite mojomummy, I have to take a foul concoction the day before that will make sure things are 'running smoothly' so to speak!
I had to stay in bed this morning while the rest of my household had their breakfast as we all normally have a huge bowl of fruit but tomorrow I wont have that luxury with it being a school day. Just have to rely on my willpower I guess.

what about a cheese omelete ? ideal atkins food too Ooh I hope you have some fibregel as well - hope all goes well.

mckenzie · 19/09/2005 19:32

good idea mojomummy. cheese omelete could be on the agenda for supper I think. I have to fast from midnight tonight so I might stay up between now and then and just eat! I won't get to eat again until wednesday evening!
