Hi

I'm planning a party lunch for my father who is 75 on Sunday and trying to rack my brains for relatively easy but yummy things to cook. I was thinking about serving the following:

Nigella Coke Ham
Red Cabbage
Baked Potatoes
Leafy Salad
Caramelised Onion Tarts
Hot Sausage Rolls
Crudites and Dips
Maybe Soup?

Chocolate Cloud Cake
Pavolova or Crumble (my dad loves crumble)

I'm trying to do a more buffet kind of style as there probably won't be room on the table for so many people all at once!

What do you think? Is there anything else you'd add?

Thanks Flamingpants! Do you think it's too much or not enough? Am worried that I'm not catering for everyone!

plenty of nice bread and a cheese board would round it off nicely imo
hope he has a lovely daySmile

Sounds yummy - only thing I would add other than the bread and cheese already mentioned would be plenty of good Jacket potato fillings such as coleslaw or tuna mayo, etc. Maybe even some chilli if you want to spice things up a bit

Good idea! I will add french bread and cheese to the shopping list!

It sounds delicious, a perfect winter buffet. I would lose the soup and replace it with coleslaw, definitely.
