Nigella slow roast pork

Has anyone made this (the one that takes 23/24hrs) - similar to River Cafe recipe I think.

It's not clear from the recipe whether it's a boned shoulder or whether the bone should still be in - any ideas?

I haven't cooked the Nigella this but the Jamie Oliver 6 hour slow roast pork is bone in and he makes a point that it improves the flavour if the bone is left in.

I haven't done Nigella's but I did do HFW's Donnie Brasco one, using a whole shoulder, for 40 odd people. There were at least 3 bones in it, including the shoulder blade!I cooked it for about 26 hours, 30 mins or so on hot then very low overnight.

It was deeeeeeeeeeeeeelicious.

Yes, that sounds like a similar recipe (and HFW worked at the River Cafe so maybe he borrowed the recipe too!).

Am completely over turkey etc for Christmas and thought this might be nice, prob with ratatouille and dauphinoise and something fab for starter.
