Traybakes are your friend. Mary Berry has many recipes - nice basics and utterly foolproof. Have yet to meet anyone who doesn't devour chocolate one - v popular on greyhound walks (for owners!), but plain one with a nice icing is perfectly OK. If you make regularly, Lakeland do a nice traybake carry case (which I have been eyeing covetously). Blush

I have the first edition of her Ultimate Cake book (has a whole chapter on traybakes), so have had it about 15 years. It is now battered, covered with sticky fingerprints, bits of flour and all the other hallmarks of a much loved and well used cookbook. I usually do her sponge recipes and traybakes using Stork rather than butter, as this can be taken straight from the fridge and beats well using the all in one method. I can also say her recipes (rather like Delia's) NEVER fail and are always v clearly written, unlike certain other celeb cooks (esp ones who like to flirt with camera and use alliterative adverbs adoringly) Wink If you google mary berry traybake recipes quite a few come up.
