Is my new breadmacine supposed to make a noise?

I'm using it for the first time, it was silent for the first half an hour, but then started making noise. It's intermittent a bit like a metalic version of the washing machine hen it's on spin. Have I done something wrong or is it supposed to be like this? For some reason I thought it would be quiet.

There are moving parts inside it. It has to mix up the ingredients.

yes, they can get quite noisy when they're flinging the dough about inside.
