I have a very tasty looking chocolate pudding to eat but I just noticed the custard is 4 days out of date. Should I go for it?

and yes i do realise i'm a saddo because this has what my saturday nights have become...

If it was fresh custard (ie made from fresh milk and kept in the fridge) then I'd give it a sniff/taste and if it looked/smelled/tasted ok I'd probably go for it.

If it's packet/tinned custard then I'd not even think about it tbh.

thanks suzikettles, i'm glad somebody cares about my great custard debate.

Custard is extremely important :) I'd say the same though, give it a sniff and if it's ok then tuck in. Ooo for pudding and custard now!

Yes to custard if smells/tastes ok.

NO to meat/fish (not that you asked that i know) Grin
