I have picked a huge basket and haven't got time to process them. Can I freeze them? I intend to make chutney and jam with them for Christmas prezzies (but not today). PS My kitchen smells lovely.

No don't freeze them; wrap them separately in paper to store in a cool place, so they don't touch each other.
Yes, the scent is lovely.

Oh dear I've bunged them in the freezer now! Will let you know how they turn out when I defrost them. [hsmile]

Well, they will be mushy but probably still smell good.
I expect they will be delicious anyway.
