Dairy-free 'novelty' chocolates

Following from a thread about advent calendars, I was wondering if there's a brand of dairy-free chocolate that tends to be stocked in mainstream shops, for Easter eggs, advent calendars, Christmas tree decorations etc.

DD doesn't eat milk and I'm dreading it (especially at Easter) when the shelves are stocked with milk chocolate.

We get this problem. Lots of people have recommended 'Kinnerton' chocolate to me (sold in most supermarkets, seem to do the novelty choc things). I haven't tried it though. We buy mail order through billygoatstuff (try Google) - we've found them fabulous, and they taste good. They make theirs with goats milk, so it is suitable for those with soya and/or dairy allergies.
Alternatively, if your DD doesn't like dairy (as opposed to an allergy), you could try some brands of dark chocolate as some of those don't contain dairy.

Waitrose stock a dairy free chocolate - maybe you could buy some moulds and make some yourself?

Yes, I have moulds and will happily make things. I'm just wondering if there's anything readily available on the shelf, for times when home-made won't do - such as presents for DD's friends.

Look in Sainsbury's Free-From range. They do packs of 5 chocolate lollies (the sort you might get in party bags) from Kinnertons and they are egg, dairy and nut free.

I buy them in bulk for my DD and dish them out when the other DC have treats.

Ime melting down milk free chocolate and reshaping causes the chocolate to go off very quickly.
Agree on Sainsburys for the novalty chocolate lollies (kinnerton actually)
Kinnerton do some milk free chocolate eggs etc BUT you have to buy virtually when they come out on the shelf as they sell out VERY quickly.
Kinnerton sell a lot of milk chocolate stuff so be careful and dont assume. However, i believe you can order from their website.

I look for other types of seasonal sweets - marshmallow snowmen/chicks or jelly sweets.

You can get dark chocolate easter eggs but they are quite strong.

There is a company called whizzers who sell dairy free smarties, mini eggs and footballs. I've found them in health food shops and some supermarkets.
