Just can't think.
I don't get in till just after 7pm.
Don't want to be slaving over a hot stove for too long before I eat.
Pregnant so fancy something healthy.
Any ideas?
I just can't think of anything at all to make.
TIA, TCx

buy some of the fresh pasta in the chiller bit of the supermarket and a yummy sauce. the fresh pasta (filled with chicken, mushroom, spinach and cheese, whatever takes your fancy!) takes only 2 minutes to boil in a pan while the sauce takes 4 mins to heat.

its always what i have in the fridge for emergency quick tea-times

we have that a lot here too Nailpolish. If you add loads of veggies to it it makes it even more healthy!

salade nicoise?

romaine lettuce (or something like that), hardboiled eggs, black olives, anchovies and tuna, should be French beans but have runners for seasonality, and toms (are they authentic? not sure) plus loads of dressing and some nice bread to soak up all the dressing aftewards!

nailpolish · 13/09/2005 11:13

fish is quick too - haddock dipped in egg and breadcrumbs only takes minutes to shallow fry in a pan

or salmon with a squeeze of lemon over the top only takes minutes in the micro

or poached egg on toast - break egg into a cup and break the yolk with a knife (or it explodes in micro!) add a drip of vinegar and a pinch of salt and a teaspoon of water, put in micro for 20/30/40 secs (depending on whether you like yolk soft or hard - hard in your case thomcat!) and slide out of cup onto hot toast
