We normally have lasagne, Carbonara, Spag Bog and tuna pasta salad.

Any other ideas ( I don`t like pesto..)

Or, I have done this Sausage and Spinach Cannelloni and it is lovely.

Why not go to Good Food or Delicious websites and search for pasta dishes and you will get lots to search through

We love this one. Split open some good quality pork sausages. Break off and fry little nuggets of the pork in olive oil. Add some finely slices or chopped garlic, a teaspoon or so of fennel seeds, a big glug of red wine, let it simmer off a bit, tin of chopped tomatoes and season. Let it simmer for 15 or so mins til it's reduces to a good consistancy and serve with any pasta but the big wide ribbons (name escapes me) paparadelle? are v. good. Plenty of parmesan, sit back and enjoy the fruits of your minimal labour. Even our kids eat it as I don't worry about the wine bit.

Or if you like brie, cook up whatever pasta you like, put it back in the pan with lots of olive oil, black pepper, chopped cherry tomatoes and chopped brie. Stir stir stir, a bit melty. Eat.

Here's one from me, but be warned, it's prob not very 'healthy' - it's on my list of quick recipes that I can rustle up easily.

This sausagey recipe might be better on the nutritional front.

Jamie Olivers 'Jools pregnant pasta' is absolutely delicious - the recipe is on the Channel 4 website, and the episode of him cooking it on Jamies 30 Minute Meals is probably still on 4OD.

Roast tomatoes in olive oil with herbs, garlic and chilli and simply add to spaghetti wth some parmesan. Delicious.

We like fried pancetta or bacon and onion with garlic, lemon zest and some chilli. We have it just like that with olive oil and parmesan for super quick or add a splash of wine to the pan, allow to reduce then add a spoon of creme fraich and stir through to make a creamier more traditional sauce.

At this time of year, when there's loads of leafy greens around, I do this kind of thing a lot. Fry off either cooking chorizo, or bacon lardons. Cook the pasta as normal, adding the green veg (kale, cabbage, whatever you have) for the last few mins. Drain, add the bacon or chorizo, and mix with some half-fat creme fraiche. Great way to get my DS to enjoy his greens!

Pasta with smoked trout/salmon, peas and cream

Pasta with mushrooms, garlic, olive oil and parsley (and creme fraiche sometimes). Also good with spinach added.

Pasta with prawns, garlic, chilli flakes or chilli oil

Pasta with roast peppers and creamy goats cheese (you need to skin the peppers though which is a bit of a pain) or roast cherry toms and goats cheese

I am very pleased excitied about trying some of these recipes out. Im still BF so will tone down the chilli as it doesnt agree with DS.

I`m going to try mushrooms one first and swirl in the creme fraiche nom nom ...

Tin of white crab meat (or fresh if you can get it), fried in garlic olive oil, with a little dried chilli & a squeeze of lemon juice is always nice, & a store cupboard standby if you use tinned crab meat. Use linguine or spaghetti.

Fry bacon pieces in a little oil. Add sliced mushrooms, then cream (or creme fraiche - keeps longer in the fridge), then add a bag of spinach, season & serve over any pasta.

Bacon, borlotti, creme fraiche, tomato, basil.

Fry some diced chicken breast in a little oil with some garlic, chilli, onion and peppers. When everything is cooked through, stir in creme fraiche and chopped fresh coriander, take off the heat and add juice and zest of 1/2 lime and stir it all up. Serve with tagliatelle, spaghetti, linguine.

Also works well without chilli but is much better with

Arrabiatta - I thinly slice red onion and red peppers and fry them until they char v slightly. Then add soem crushed garlic and a glass of white wine and cook a bit. Add a carton of really finely chopped tomotoes (because I hate the ones with lumps) and 2 chopped red chillis. Cook a bit. lots of black pepper and some olives. Serve with parmesan and loads of flat leaf parsley.

How about butternut squash & sage sauce? very easy & simple.

Penne with broccoli and anchovy is our all time favourite!

I've got a great recipe for pasta with leeks, i first made it after i saw it on Jamie at home, the family loved it so much that i've made it every week since.

Fry your 3 onions and 4 cloves of garlic until browned, then throw in 4 leeks, which have been cut into strips, and continue to fry for about half an hour, put your spaghetti on for 10 minutes drain and then mix the two, add parmesan and olive oil and serve, simple as that!

cherry tomatoes, small amount of garlic, white wine, king prawns and cream sauce.

Sliced oyster mushrooms, red pepper and leeks, stir-fry until just softened. Add to cooked pasta (tagliatelle or similar), heat gently and stir in some marscapone to give a creamy sauce.

Tried this with ricotta too when I didn't have marscapone, was also nice! I guess any soft/cream cheese would work.

I'm a big fan of pasta bakes (for the kids, particularly).
