Can I reheat casserole tomorrow?

Due to rubbish planning I was left with a pack of braising steak that had to be used by today, but we ate out at lunchtime so we didn't fancy dinner...

I've cooked it up in a casserole, planning to have it tomorrow, but on looking at the pack it says "DO NOT REHEAT". Why not? Would it be awful? Would it make us all ill (DC age 3 & 1)? Should I just bin it and plan better next time?

Advice from those more kitchen-able than me please? Grin

What sort of braising steak is it?

It seems strange that it says anything about reheating.

I often cook extra and freeze and reheat at a later date. As long as you reheat thoroughly it is ok.

M&S outdoor reared braising steak. On the back where it has the cooking instructions (brown, oven/veg/oven some more) it then states do not reheat. Is this just M&S being silly then?

It tastes even better the next day. I reheat mine and we are all ok.

Ridiculous. Of course you can reheat a casserole.

Fabulous. That's what I was hoping you'd all say Grin. I Thought it seemed a bit odd.

Thank you

Never made a casserole before, by the way, hence my worrying Blush.

I hope it's ok. I made a casserole last night. Hoping to reheat it for lunch tomorrow! Meat was also use by yesterday.

If I shouldn't eat it please say - I'm pregnant, don't really want food poisoning!!!

Just reheat properly - it will be completely fine, in fact it is better the second day Smile
