Have bought this on a whim. What can I make with it (not bolognaise as DS has had enough of that)?

Spanish Meatballs - delish.

Put some smoked bacon or pancetta into a food processor til finely chopped add to the turkey with some toasted pine nuts, sauteed (cooled) onion and garlic, thyme, breadcrumbs, chopped parsley. Mix up well and make into meatballs. Fry off til golden on outside, but not cooked through.

Then make a sauce with fryed onion, garlic and grated carrot, glass of white wine (don't worry if you don't have any leave it out), tin of tomatoes, half a chicken stock cube or slug of liquid stock, bay leaf and 1 or 2 cloves - yes cloves, makes it delish and savoury, without being Christmasy. Pop the meatballs in and simmer til the sauce has reduced to a nice consistancy and the meatballs are done. Lovely with crusty bread.

This recipe is absolutely delicious made with turkey mince. I serve it with a tomato sauce with chopped red peppers in it and wholemeal spaghetti.

Ah well, never one to stick to a recipe I made turkey balls/burgers/cakes.

I cooked off an onion and some garlic and put the mince, breadcrumbs, cooked onions, a tablespoon of tomato puree (that was in one of the suggestions), salt, pepper and an egg in the food processor. Not sure if an egg was needed hence the slightly risen cake look Grin

I rolled the mixture into balls, but the first one ended up a bit flat so I made them into patties instead. Cooked them for about 20 mins.

Then I cut some bread into little circles Annabel Karmel stylee and made burger buns.

DS is very carefully eating around them Hmm

However, a vegetarian should never have to scrape out that turkeyish gunk and form it into shapes. Boak.
