What shall I make with pumpkin?

& can I do anything with the masses of seeds, does anyone know?

Never done anything with pumpkin before & the little bit I tried while carving it seemed very bland

Puréed with dill and butter it's lovely as a veg.

do I need to cook it first?

You can dry & roast the seeds, for a healthy snack. Or just dry them & use for making collages with the kids!

Pumpkin pie, pumpkin soup and pumpkin risotto are my un-inspired ideas.

Roast it gently before pureeing.

YOu can also add to bulk out stews or you can make a nice pasta sauce if you mix it with sage.

I tried roasting and salting the seeds and then my turkish friend showed me the art of opening the shucks with your teeth so that you only eat the nut inside. A tasty reward when you get the hang of it!

Thanks for the ideas, It's sat on the side at the mo, am not even sure where to store it tbh! If it's ok then I'll make pumpkin pie I think, maybe . . . . .
